La villette museum with Coco

On Friday evening Coco arrived from Frankfurt and joined us at Grand-papa and Grand-maman's place in Versailles. She was also here for the temple open house. But since our appointment to visit the temple was in the evening, we decided to spend the rest of the day at "La villette" in Paris. It's a science museum with a large section designed for kids.

There were lots and lots of cool activities to do to discover and experiment on different aspects of physics and biology: fluid dynamics, gravity, speed, optics, green screen technology, animal biology...

We didn't go inside the Geode (a gigantic 3D movie theater), but we admired it from the outside. It's an incredible building!

And lastly, we visited this super cool submarine (which is a real hunter-killer submarine from the 1950), The Argonaute. It was impressive to imagine 40 people living in this closed environment, having to watch for enemies and all the dangers of being under water. It makes me shiver to think of it.

We were not allowed to take pictures inside but we took some in the museum outside the submarine.

 We went back home in the middle of the afternoon, after a pretty exhausting but fabulous day.
