Halloween 2016 edition

This year again the GC clan ( my aunt and 5 of her grand children plus my sisters and I with 6 of our own) gathered for a big Halloween celebration. The children are getting bigger which makes things more interesting but also requires a bit more thinking. I prepared a treasure hunt with 5 or 6 clues and an origami activity (hopping frogs), my aunt and her grand-children prepared a potion making activity.

The gang

The Dirndl was a gift from Coco. Thank you Coco.
Grandma Jarman sent Josh and William some Halloween Face Tattoos. They were a perfect addition to Joshua’s costume!

It’s always a lot of fun watching the children run around the house looking for clues and trying to figure out the riddles.

Here are some of the riddles or challenges they had to do.

Apparently they managed to decipher my weird rebus about the Hortensias :D

These magic potions were pretty tasty :

On Halloween night, Josh, William and their cousin Auréa went around our neighborhood for candy. It was the first time we went trick or treating in the center of the village (we usually either go around my parents’ house or we skip it). We were surprised to find a lot of people home and PREPARED ! My neighbor Carine surprised the kids with a giant spider she dropped on their heads when they rang the bell.

So much excitement !

Spookie!
