Every year for the anniversary of the armistice of WWI, the school director's class puts together a program to participate in the town memorial celebration. Joshua is in this class this year so he got to participate in the program. They put together a play and read letters of Poilu's during the celebration.
It was pouring rain but Joshua's class and the local choir sang the traditional "Chant des Partisans" in front of the people gathered around the War memorial.
Following the official celebration which took place near the Memorial Monument, we all took refuge in the school gym to watch the performance of these 3rd and 4th grader. They played their parts so seriously and eloquently.

During the school break, William invited a school friend for a sleep over.
And the boys started building these complex battle grounds using Kaplas, blocks, and figurines. It is messy but it's one of the only occupation they have where they cooperate for hours without fighting... so I gladly tolerate the mess.
